Nokia announces X6, the 5800 on steroids!

Nokia has just announced the Nokia X6, which is one of the most advanced phones with musical capability, 5- Megapixel camera with duo LED flash, Carl Zeiss optical lens, 32 GB built-in memory, 3.2 inch touch screen, 3.5 mm audio jack and a 1320 mAh battery which will deliver 35 hours of audio playback on the go. Impressive?

Consumers have already nicknamed the Nokia X6 as the 5800 with 5 megapixel camera and 32 gb of inbuilt storage. Though Nokia advertises this phone as one with “Mind-Blowing design”, we all know, seldom do phones stand up to their advertisement images, may it be the Razr 2, Nokia N97 or just about any other phone. Its 14mm “thick”, nokia considers this as slim, maybe it is when compared to the Nokia 5800. This device might be out just in time for Xmas 2009, that’s Q4 2009. It also advertises a 16 day standby, but we have to wait and see how true that holds out.

It will also feature the customizable homescreen that we have seen in the Nokia 5630, Nokia N97 and the Nokia 5800. It will pack a 16:9 widescreen interface so that your multimedia experience is not compromised. X6 will also have the feature of video editing and sharing with the help of the Video Center. Ovi, of course makes its presence felt here. It will have the Nokia Maps to be used with the phone’s A-GPS. Though its 434 MHz processor might be a bit of bother considering the phones high status. X6 will also come with 3 premium games, Asphalt 4, Gameloft’s DJ Mix Tour and EA’s Spore!

The Nokia X6 will be out for a retail price of EUR 459, before taxes and subsidies.
